The Old Church
Once a 19th-century Presbyterian church, this Carlton Hill residence in St John’s Wood has been transformed into a remarkable family home—a sanctuary that balances reverence with revelry. We reimagined the space with an open-plan layout centered around a double-height gallery and sweeping spiral staircase, creating natural flow and sightlines ideal for both quiet family life and large-scale entertaining. Traditional English features—like carved fireplaces, arched windows, and a moody library—anchor the home in its historical context, while Eastern sculptures, custom lighting, and contemporary art lend it a cosmopolitan edge. From the rooftop terrace shrouded in greenery to the candlelit sitting rooms below, every corner reflects the home’s unique spirit: part sacred, part playful, and wholly alive with personality.
